If you’d like to have a look around the castle make sure you give yourself a few hours as there’s lots to see from the fascinating histories of the State Apartments to the minute ornate detail of Queen Mary’s Dolls House. Try and time your visit to coincide with the hourly changing of the guard. St George’s Chapel is also part of the tour and one of the best ways to appreciate the atmosphere of this chapel is to attend the evensong service.If you fancy getting out and about while you’re in Windsor there are plenty of fantastic experiences, try a wander along the banks of the Thames or a boat ride on it. You could even travel by horse drawn carriage to the castle and take in the green open space of the Great Park and the view of the castle as you ride towards it along the Long Walk. Obviously if you are travelling with young children then a trip to Legoland is a great day out! There’s a wealth of shops on your doorstep as well as places to eat and drink in this historic town, head to Peascod Street for your choice of cuisine, or the pubs of Market Street or even Heston Blumenthal’s Michelin starred Fat Duck restaurant is nearby in Bray.

The Windsor Riverside train station, which links you to London Waterloo in less than an hour, is a ten minutes walk from the apartment. The M4 Motorway is a short drive away and connects you to the business hubs that are in this area. Heathrow Airport is only a 15 minute drive away from the apartment.
