  • Right on the waterfront, the apartment is situated in the Capstan Building on Orwell Quay, so you can enjoy all that this vibrant area of Ipswich has to offer. The marina is home to a fantastic mix of restaurants, cafès, independent shops, the Waterfront Gallery and world renowned venue DanceEast. Sit and admire the view of the yachts in the harbour with a coffee, and you could even take a cruise up the river on one of the vessels that can be hired from the quayside.

    The town centre is easily reached from the marina, the Saints area of Ipswich is around St Peter’s Street and links the marina area to the bustling town centre. A great place to browse you’ll find many independent boutiques and shops, cafès and eateries, with cuisine to choose from around the world you’ll be spoilt for choice. Street markets are frequently held in this charming area with vintage wares and local farmers’ produce sold on the stalls.

    Closer to the apartment is one of Ipswich’s historic parks - Holywells Park, 67 acres of parkland with a pond and an outstanding children’s play area, with a splash park in the summer. In between the park and the marina, is The Brewery Tap, a well loved gastro pub, serving only local beers and locally sourced food.

  • The nearest train station is Derby Road, which is a 20 minute walk away from the apartment. Ipswich train station is a ten minute drive by car or just over 20 minutes walk away. From the station you can travel onward to London or Cambridge whilst London Stansted Airport is one hour’s drive away where daily flights leave for Glasgow and Dublin.
