If you wish to escape the hustle and bustle of the city centre, Aberdeen Bay is great for leisurely walks. The Esplanade boarders the coast line framing the beach. From here you can wander up to Donmouth Local Nature Reserve and Royal Aberdeen Golf Club. Nigg Bay offers coastal walks and features a golf club on the south side of the ferry port. If you have access to a car, why not venture into the countryside and explore Craigievar Castle, which dates back to 1626 and appears to be a true fairy-tale castle. Aberdeen Train Station is less than 10 minutes' walk away and offers services to Leeds, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Aberdeen airport is 7 miles away.
