Travelling around London is straight-forward from these apartments, Liverpool Street and Aldgate stations are about a five minute walk away. Though the City can easily be reached on foot, the iconic buildings the ‘Gherkin’ at 30 St Mary Axe, the inside-out Lloyds building and the more recent ‘Walkie Talkie’ are worth a look as is the historic Leadenhall market, with its glass roof and cobbled walkways, though worth remembering that all the shops are closed over the weekend. There are plenty of restaurants and cafès close to the apartment if you’d like to eat out and there is something for everyone with Michelin starred fine dining and worldwide cuisine in this vibrant area. For shopping head to the famous markets, Petticoat Lane Market is nearby and there are over a 1000 stalls to browse selling everything from clothes to household goods every Sunday. Old Spitalfields Market is well worth a trip to take in the variety of stalls selling all sorts of crafts, handmade clothes and accessories as well as vintage clothing, but make sure you have room for food as there are lots of restaurants to stop for a bite to eat. Not far from the market is Brick Lane, a lively area day or night with a stretch of curry houses, vintage shops and bars, at one end is The Truman Brewery where you can see art exhibitions. Opposite is All Star Lanes for a different kind of night out try your hand at ten pin bowling.
