Moulin Rouge

Paris, France

Co-founded in 1889 by Charles Zidler and Joseph Oller the Moulin Rouge is one of the most famous nightspots in the world. Immortalised by the legendary posters by Joules Cheret and Toulou-Lautec and celebrated in the Baz Luhrmann epic Moulin Rouge! the Moulin Rouge remains a Parisian icon.

Each night audiences see the 60 Doriss dancers take to the stage to perform slick routines in wonderfully flamboyant costumes. Space might be tight and it may be full of bus tours but a visit to the birthplace of the can-can dance makes for a top night out.
