There are two branches of the famous Yorkshire tea rooms in York; Betty’s Tea Rooms on St Helen’s Square and Betty’s Stonegate (formerly Little Betty’s).
Betty’s on St Helen’s Square is the larger of the two branches and is the place to go for Afternoon Tea in the swish art deco surroundings of the Belmont Room. Betty’s Stonegate is a great place to stop to pick up tea, coffee, cakes and gifts on the go or for Afternoon Tea after touring round York Minster.
Afternoon Tea at Betty’s consists of a delectable selection of sandwiches, handmade miniature cakes, freshly baked scones with jam and Yorkshire clotted cream and a pot of speciality tea. For an extra indulgence enjoy a glass of Champagne with your Afternoon Tea.
