Based at Kingston Park, the Newcastle Falcons are the region's top rugby union team. Originally known as Newcastle Gosforth, the team have been based at this stadium since 1990 and Kingston Park has undergone a few improvements and facelifts. Starting with a temporary stand on the western side followed by three more permanent stands, including West Stand, the John Smiths Stand, which is a popular covered terrace, and the uncovered North Stand.
You can visit the ground to watch a game, enjoy a drink at the bars and with seven plasma screens showing live sport, you'll be spoiled for choice. Newcastle Falcons boast one premiership and four domestic cups and with home-grown talent including Jonny Wilkinson, Jamie Noon and Toby Flood, this stadium is a 'must-see' for any rugby union fan.
