Set on Liverpool's famous waterfront, this iconic building was opened in 2011 and is home a variety of exhibitions and displays. Starting at the top, the second floor includes exhibitions on The Beatles and an interesting look at the history of Liverpool's football clubs. You can also discover what it meant to be a Liverpudlian over the last 200 years in the People's Republic gallery. On the first floor, The Liverpool Overhead Railway gallery tells the story of the first elevated electric railway in the world and you can discover one of Britain's oldest regiment in the King's Regiment City Soldiers Gallery. The museum also features a range of ever-changing displays and a theatre. There is a hands-on gallery, 'Little Liverpool' to keep the children entertained and don't forget to re-fuel at the cafe before you leave.
