Arlington is a county located in the Commonwealth of Virginia, on the west bank of the Potomac River directly across from Washington, D.C. If sightseeing is for you look no further. With history going back over 200 years there is plenty to see. Being the home to The Iwo Jima War Memorial, the Women’s Military Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery and not to mention being home to the Pentagon, you can see why this county gets a lot of military attention.
For the thrill seekers out there head for Six Flags Over Texas and Six Flags Hurricane Harbour, a nation-wide theme park that includes many notable attractions. If sports scores a home run for you, Arlington is home to the Texas Rangers' Globe Life Park in Arlington, the International Bowling Campus (which houses the United States Bowling Congress, International Bowling Museum and the International Bowling Hall of Fame).
For the shoppers out there don't worry you won’t be disappointed;The Parks Mall at Arlington houses numerous retail outlets, eateries, an ice rink, and a Movie Theatre.
