Twickenham lies 10 miles south west of the centre of London and is a beautiful leafy suburb in an idyllic riverside setting. It offers a number of independent shops, boutiques, restaurants and riverside pubs with some of the best restaurants in St Margerets. Home of the Rugby Union, Twickenham Stadium is the worlds largest stadium solely used for rugby, though it does also host charity music concerts through the year. Eel Pie Island is an island in the River Thames at Twickenham, it can be reached by footbridge or boat. The island is home to artists and a couple of small businesses but remains private for the most part of the year and is only opened to public a couple of weekends a year.
