Lansdowne Garden Apartments

This basement flat was conveniently situated near to the West End, an easy and interesting 10/15 walk to Byres Road etc for restaurants and galleries and just 3 mins from the Kelvinbridge subway station. The heating system worked well with thermostats on the radiators and the bathroom was always warm (no thermostat) and hot water & shower were good and constant. The flat was clean, tidy and furnished in a modern style with reasonably comfortable beds and sofas, however they seemed to have ‘forgotten’ to wipe out the fridge/freezer (breadcrumbs , old freezer ties etc) and wipe off the greasy fingermarks on the cupboards and appliances. It literally took us 20 mins then it was presentable. It really did seem like an omission as the bathroom and rest of the flat were perfectly ok.

The flat has a seating area outside from the lounge (sun in morning) and a shared area with plants and a bench that gets the sun in afternoon and evening, it seems to have been recently planted and is a pleasant place to sit. The TV was fine though we didn’t use the WiFi or DVD. It was generally easy to park outside the property with a parking permit. We needed some more permits and they were delivered to us no problem. The area and the apartment were very quiet considering how close it is the the Great Western Road.

Beds were very uncomfortable and worn out, washing machine/dryer did not work during our week there and no compensation was offered, however when we made a change to our booking there was no hesitation at keeping the 25% deposit.
