If you have had a busy morning in Glasgow then The Willow Tea Rooms are the perfect place to rest and recuperate with a coffee or bite to eat. This picturesque café was designed by Glaswegian artist Charles Rennie Mackintosh back in 1904 and has remained a popular tea room ever since. Centrally located on Sauchiehall Street the Mackintosh style is apparent from the outside with the asymmetric exterior and decorated glass windows. Once inside, as well as being greeted by a mouth-watering selection of cakes, the beautiful Mackintosh art deco style continues. With bright windows, stylish decor and elegant furniture it is a great place to take in the atmosphere, especially whilst enjoying a scrumptious afternoon tea.
