Ibrox Stadium

Ibrox Football Stadium is the home ground of Rangers Football Club. Located south of the River Clyde the stadium has been there since 1899. The stadium has had a turbulent history and has sadly seen some tragic events over the years but since the stadium was rebuilt in 1981 the quality and safety of the stadium has vastly improved.

The Ibrox Stadium is one of the last remaining in the UK which has maintained some of its original history and character. The main stand (Bill Struth Main Stand) which was built in 1929 is very impressive with a red brick facade and is, in fact, a listed building.

Rangers FC were one of the founding teams of the original Scottish Football League however they have had a tough few years. The club went into administration in 2012 which resulted in the team being re-launched into the Scottish Football Leagues Third Division. The club is now in the first division but fans have remained loyal throughout this time which adds to the atmosphere at an Ibrox home game.
