      Galatsi is a northern suburb of Athens, Greece, with a history stretching back as a far as 1870. Originally farmland, it’s grown in stature and is now one of the most densely populated parts of Athens.  Galatasi is home to such attractions the beautiful public park, Alsos Viekou, and Galatsi Olympic Hall: a large multi-use arena, famous for its table tennis and gymnastics competitions. Also worth seeing is the 12th century Greek Orthodox Church, Omorfokklisia.

      Galatsi offers plenty of good, affordable restaurants like Atitamos, Scala Vinoteca and Simul gastronomic situ. For after dinner drinks, head to Cinque Wine and Deli Bar.
