Revealed: The Best Cities In The World For Foodies

If you love to combine your love of food with your wanderlust, you’re spoilt for choice, with cities across the world upping their culinary game to try and attract the growing number of ‘food tourists’ to their restaurants, cafés, bakeries and delis.

We’ve set out to compare some of the cities with the best food scenes in the world, to see which is the best.

Of course, this is easier said than done, because everybody has different tastes, and while some might prefer a night in a swanky fine dining restaurant, others prefer getting value for money.

For each of the 25 cities, we’ve taken into account:

• Number of restaurants per 10,000 people (according to TripAdvisor).
• The average cost of a meal (according to Numbeo).
• Number of restaurants named on ‘La Liste’, a list of the 1,000 best restaurants in the world.
• Number of different types of cuisine offered (according to TripAdvisor).
