What are serviced apartments and their benefits?

A serviced apartment is a combination of features from hotel and a rented property. With all the services of a hotel, but with a fully furnished kitchen and laundry facilities, a serviced apartment is the best of both worlds. One key difference from a rented property is that of housekeeping service included once a week. Just some of the benefits offered by a serviced apartment are:

• A booking duration from as little as one night. Plenty of hotels and rentals have minimum stay policies that stop you from booking one or two nights. However, with a serviced apartment you can book for as many or as few nights as you require. With better rates the longer you stay too (beyond a certain threshold), you’ll have better rates available than hotels can offer.

• One main difference between a hotel and serviced apartment is an included fully furnished kitchen. With complete flexibility of what you want included in your service too - with choices ranging from a gym, pool and concierge service – a serviced apartment has plenty of options to suit you.

• With a serviced apartment you’re able to cook, relax and unwind in your own time. Unlike hotels, where there are certain times a day for meals, with a fully furnished kitchen you’re able to eat and cook when you like. Furthermore, a serviced apartment has many rooms for you to enjoy and relax in, including fully furnished living rooms with a TV and Wi-Fi.

Places to see/ things to do in Dublin

Dublin sits on the East coast of Ireland and is also the capital of the country. With so many attractions and an abundance of activities to try, navigating your way around Dublin can be tricky without an idea of what you want to do.

History

It wouldn’t be a trip to Dublin without a visit to the Guinness Storehouse to discover the history of Ireland’s most famous beer. With plenty of online offers for tickets and guides, the Guinness Storehouse is a no brainer for any Dublin first-timer.

Trinity College is not only the most famous Library in Dublin but also one of the most well-known libraries in the world. With a completely symmetrical interior design and over 200,000 books, you’ll be awe struck by its beauty.

Day activities

Phoenix Park is a great location to travel to on your journey around Dublin, with one main attraction you’ll be sure to visit - Dublin Zoo. The zoo itself was established during 1830 and opened the following year. Known to many as the most popular attraction in Dublin, the zoo is a tremendous day out for all the family.

Ha’penny Bridge was built in 1816 over the River Liffey, made of iron and actually constructed in Shropshire. The name derives from turnstiles being built at either end to ensure that people pay the toll, which totalled the old half penny - and hence the name was born. Most people know it as the Liffey Bridge, which it has been called since 1922.

Food and Drink

Do you feel like you can never make up your mind when picking from the menu? Well Sparks won’t help with that. With a wide range of cuisines on their menu, from Italian to Mediterranean, you’ll be spoilt for choice at this local restaurant. With a high end menu, this local spot is great for special occasions.

Food that tastes as good as it looks is a tall order but Tang Café does indeed meet these high expectations. With two main restaurants in Dublin and serving breakfast and lunch, Tang Café is a great location to visit for some afternoon cuisine.

For every sweet tooth out there your dream can come true inside The Sweetest Thing in Dublin. For a great place to relax and eat lots, this café is perfect for boosting your energy for walking around Dublin city. With lots of choices to pick from, you can even treat yourself to a traditional Irish breakfast, with exceptional Irish sausages.

Nightlife

Dublin nightlife is renowned for its lively clubs and bar scene. With most establishments allowing casual clothes, there are still many places you can dress up for special occasion or if you just fancy dressing to the nines.

Perhaps the most famous bar in Dublin is the Temple Bar - renowned for its ravishing display of colourful flower displays throughout summer and its glittering lights throughout winter. If you’re coming to Dublin for the Irish culture and nightlife, then Temple Bar is not to be missed.

A classic for the Irish scene is the O’Neill’s. Decked from top to bottom with Irish history, you can even listen to traditional Irish music here on Sunday and Monday nights. On match days, sports fans should head here as you’re sure to find a vibrant atmosphere with a great crowd.

Retail

Even though Dublin is known for is great pub scene, its shopping scene is actually equally up to scratch. Stephen’s Green Shopping centre is perfect for the big brands such as Topshop. For a bit of retail therapy, you’ll be able to find all you’re well-known local retailers right here. With a food court too, you can stop off for some libations before continuing your shopping spree.
