When booking a week in the sun or even a weekend city break, one of the most commonly asked questions is whether or not the tap water can be drunk, due in part to the horror stories we all hear of a holiday spent in the bathroom!

One of the most common causes of sickness whilst travelling is drinking contaminated water.

Common conditions which can arise from drinking unsafe water include traveller’s diarrhoea, hepatitis A, typhoid and cholera.
