Eat/Drink
Being such a cosmopolitan city, Dubai is home to a wide range of cuisine from American fast-food to fine Middle-Eastern, Asian, British, French and Indian fare. The city’s top hotels house some of Dubai’s finest restaurants and non-guests are able to make reservations to sample luxury, fine dining and unrivalled views. However, there are a number of local specialities that are well worth a try:
• Shawarma – meat grilled on a skewer then thinly sliced and served in a pitta with vegetables and sauce. Incredibly cheap but incredibly delicious.
• Fala-fil (Falafel) – another cheap but delicious local snack.
