Apartment 52
I had booked two double bedrooms and was contacted before our stay re: whether my party was two couples, which it was. When we arrived one of the bedrooms was just two single beds pushed together, so we had to ask housekeeping to make the bed up as one double bed, which still wasn't ideal but a step in the right direction. As the apart-hotel was already aware that the booking was for two couples, we felt that the bed should have been made up appropriately.
Both sinks in both bathrooms wouldn't drain away the water properly - the plugs had to be taken out completely for the water to drain away.
We didn't have any spare toilet roll and had to ask for some, this didn't arrive, and so after waiting approx 4 hours we actually came to reception and asked in person.
The remote wasn't working and needed new batteries.
Dishwasher doesn't work properly.
Cleanliness is also an issue - there were crumbs on the carpets in all the rooms; bedside tables had black dust on them and water marks where a glass had been - these had very clearly not been wiped down.
Main bathroom has now shower.
Cobwebs in the bedroom (not the on-suite) in the little alley way to the far side.
Overall we had a nice stay and the service was good, but the above points are very frustrating as we all felt that these are very basic things that any apartment or hotel should get right - in particular the cleanliness.

I always stay in top end apartments when travelling and I have high standards.
I was first impressed with the service i recieved from the lady at the reception. I called before hand and asked for a dvd player which she handed over very promptly when i arrived. I was upgraded on the day and was directed to the apartment.
Eevery few apartments have their own front doors with a grand hallway. Very nice indeed.
The apartment was fairly decent in size. The sitting room was tastefully decorated along with tv and sky. The kitchen was slightly small but did the job for me as I avoid cooking anyway.
The bathroom was probably larger than the bedroom? However it was nice but I could smell stale smoke - someone has obviously ignored the no smoking room. I did however notice perfume wall plugs dotted around the apartment so this is a decent attempt from the staff for a somewhat previous annoying customer.
The bedroom was ok, smaller than the bathroom as previously mentioned. I had a small patio outside however no key to open the door?
All in all this was a nice place. I managed to get it for £95 for one night which is ok i guess. Would recommend if i was in the area again.

Loved our stay at Kensington House Aparthotel. The apartments were so much more than we expected. Felt like a home away from home.
When we come to Newcastle again, we will definitely be staying here :)

It's a very nice place but it's too bad that the back bedroom was not isolated. That bedroom was freezing. They should fix it. The location is perfect. If thy fix this then it's a great place to be.

Excellent apartment including facilities and location. The only minor fault was the dirty carpets but otherwise it was perfect. Thank you
