Manchester Central Apartments -

The Apartments were slightly in the back street but looked nice on arrival. the receptionist on duty was warm and welcoming but there were problems with the heating system and hot water supply. we complained so many times and were eventually moved to another apartment half way through our stay. The heating in this apartment too was not working properly. we usesd a portable heater in one room; and in the other, wore our coats to bed!!!! not a very good experience

Apartments were perfectly located for our conference and offered us comfort and privacy - exactly what we needed after a long day networking!

Lack of decent Ac and not having the room cleaned over 5 day stay were the only bad points. Would have been useful to know the apartment was named rainbow as we were searching for City base.

We had great time during our stay at Manchester Central apartments.The only problem we had experience the cleaning of sofa bed. It was disaster and its like it never clean. And of course the elevator. We have to wait long time because there is only one elevator in the building and the facility is quite busy.

This building is marketed as ultra-luxury made affordable, and it's really fairly inaccurate. The prices are prety steep for what you get, IMO (On the weekends, it's cheaper to stay at the Hilton, a way better experience). The building itself is nice, but it only has 1 extremely slow moving lift. The suite I was given was very, very small. Much smaller than in the picture. The bedroom has no windows or any natural light. I arrived a bit early and was charged 10 pounds an hour for early check-in (It would have been nice for them to throw it in, seeing as how I was paying an extra 10£ a day for parking AND an extra 10£ a day for internet).

The shower is horribly designed, with no way to keep the bathroom floor from being flooded. Also several times, while trying to slightly adjust the temperature, it would shift ALL the way to freezing or boiling. The hot water doesn't last long at all and needs constant adjusting, and given how hard it was to adjust, the shower experience was just awful.

I also had extensive problems with the internet, that led to me going up and down several times and waiting for the problem to be resolved. The staff was very friendly and as helpful as they could have been (One of the staff members was very new), so I can't fault them, but overall the experience was just not great.

The apartment itself was fine but for one or two minor items. Our problem was the incessant noise including shouting and continuous banging of the doors betwen 2.00 and 4.00am. At one stage it sounded like a war had broken out. It seems this is a feature of Saturday nights.

Overall the apartment was very clean and comfortable. The provisions in the kitchen/fridge were excellent. The only thing missing was a mirror in the bedroom (Room 63 on the 5th Floor)

Excellent - only stayed one night but will definitly be rebooking on future trips.
