Nice stay, good location close to city centre. Room was well kept but the rest of the complex was fairly dirty and staff were not very helpful.

Stayed at Laystall for one night with friends. We were all very impressed with each of the three apartments we booked, which were spacious, clean and very comfortable. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again and would most certainly recommend.

We thought that sevived apartment had clean towels, diswasher tablets every day and bags to remove rubbish provided. During a weeks stay we had to ask for clean towels and were only given one diswasher tablet, and nver given any new rubbish bags. so no marks for that sort of service

The location is great, the apartments are clean and well maintained. My BIGGEST complaint about this property is the noise. There is an atrium that the apartments are based off. The one bedroom apartments have the bedroom on the inside of the building right off the atrium so the noise levels are critical at night. The first night we arrived, after getting off the redeye from the U.S, people were shouting and playing music, the girl at reception had to call security in early. Same thing the following night, ie Saturday night, in fact the noise levels didnt subside till the Monday night. During the week was fine, then back to the same noise levels on the following Friday night, people SHOUTING and whistling on purpose into the atrium at 4.30 in the morning. We found out, after complaining to reception, that they had been kicked out after having their electricals turned off and being fined about 150 pounds. Still, the damage is already done as far as loss of sleep is concerned. Would we stay here again? We really dont know. We may pay extra to stay at The Place, around the corner, where friends stayed and had no trouble with noise. We are in Manchester for the next two years as my husband competes at the velodrome, so sleep is critical. I dont know why anyone would think that designing a building with a central atrium and bedrooms on the inside would ever be a good idea. the apartments are warm because the water heater is located in the apartment so opening the windows to get cross ventilation was out of the question with the noise going on all hours. The building management needs to get it under control so that patrons that dont make noise and want to sleep are able to without this kind of disruption. Also people smoking on the balcony of the atrium and slinging their butts down was pretty gross. The building should be non smoking full stop.

Disappointing. Thought it was really expensive for what we got. Th apartment was not cean. No cleaning products were provided for us to even do it ourselves. There were six of us and only crockery/glasses for 5 people.
No information pack in room. Parking was good

Apartment was ok bit a little tired (Headboard lurching on bedroom wall, one of the windows would not open, flush button missing from Bathroom) but overlooked these small things as the city was full.
I checked reviews on trip advisor after booking, and they put me off a bit. The apartment was extremely noisy due to a club at the side of the hotel seemingly partying and exorcising people until 4am. As the building is open, the sound radiated in from every opening.
The day staff were helpful with anything we needed, however the night staff were extremely over zealous with warnings about sound. After arriving back to the apartment after picking up the rest of our party at 11pm, almost immediately, there was a knock on the door asking us to keep the noise down, without the tele or music system being on, simply the voices of 6 people.
The fear of excess charges would put me off from booking here again.

Good facilities but the noise levels were extreme.

We had no hot water during our stay despite reporting it to the receptionist who tried to reset the water heater. This meant all 6 guests could not shower the evening we arrived after traveling from London or the following morning when we had to attend a family funeral in Manchester.

Nice apartment and good value BUT
construction of building means that all noises
outside apartment are magnified. Style encourages
residents to hang out on walkways in innecourt
talking and partying until 3 and 4 am. When
front desk was called, response was rude and
worse, innefective.
Despite the good points to this property, we would
NOT return,

It's the small things like no tea towel, no salt or pepper, no soap in the bathrooms that take the scores down. Would definately be back.
