I chose this apartment for a long weekend break with my grown-up kids and was really delighted. Check in & out was simple - keys are held in a safe in the lobby to which you get an access code on booking. A manual is on hand in the flat to answer every query you conceivably have (including local facilities and distances) and contact numbers.
South Quay is a little away from the centre of London, but this does mean its quieter and you can escape the crowds at the end of the day. Top tip - don't bother using the DLR as it's a short walk to Canary Wharf station over a footbridge. The Jubilee line is one of the better tube lines and gives you good access to the rest of London in a short time. South Quay feels like it is largely apartment buildings so doesn't have much character, but we just used it as a stopping point.
There are lots of Tesco Express shops around to buy provisions. Not the greatest range of restaurants nearby so we ate in most nights. The kitchen area is compact but well equipped - however, we did miss having a frying pan!
The apartment is beautifully presented and spacious. Everything seems brand new and spotless. The bedrooms are large and well furnished. Was pleasantly surprised to see toiletries in the bathroom (first apartment that has done that!) and washing powder/dishwasher powder in the kitchen. We even had a supply of tea/coffee laid on (much appreciated). The living area comprises two sofas, kitchen and dining table and was well laid out. Large screen TV and DVD player completed the fittings.
I would thoroughly recommend this apartment to anyone.
