The apartments were adequately equipped, the furniture a little outdated, but the location was sensational. So close to Green Park and Hyde Park, perfect for those with young kids. The apartment did smell of old cigarette smoke though. Enough for the smell to impregnate our clothes. I would book again for the location alone.

We had booked a 3 bedroom apartment and got a 4 bedroom. The apartment was very spacious, bright and comfortable but slightly tatty in places - the windowframes and some of the plumbing pipes could do with a fresh coat of paint. The bedroom heating was not easy to adjust - too hot for us, but that may suit others, we just opened the windows. That said, we would go back again as it was very well positioned for underground, restaurants and pubs. The manager was very helpful.

The Building is in need of a total "remodelling exercise", it is out of date and hasn't been redecorated for years. The Bathrooms are from the 1950's and the Kitchen is not much better.
No Maid Service was provided, at all, accordingly no towel changes, rubbish removal etc etc. The heating system is uncontrollable and the Flat was far to hot, the thermostatic valves were "rusted" in situ and there are no electronic controls. The Landlord is wasting a lot of his money.
The Manageress was singularly unhelpful.
Only the location saved the day - very poor indeed.

The staff at Shaw House appartments could not have been more helpful. Appartment 3 is extremely spacious and ideal for 8 people. The place was very clean, but the decor is dated. I would absolutley reccommend this place as the location is fantastic!

The upgrade to a larger unit made for a much more comfortable stay, and therefore the value for money was excellent. The location was excellent as well with close proximity to restaurants, coffee shops, food marts, shopping, parks, and public transportation (including easy access to available black cabs). The apartment was clean and comfortable with ample kitchen appliances, plush bathrobes and towels, clean bedding, furniture fabrics and window treatments; however the paint and wallpaper needed updating as there were cracks and stains that were very noticeable.

Overall it was good and matched the expectation and the published info.
Some comments though:
- Weak current of water in shower.
- Internet connection not reliable (goes off for hours).
- awful elevator. Never available (because people neglect to close the manual door).

The apartment was very dirty and disappointing.
The carpets were discusting with hundreds of stains.
The oven was dirty and greasy and we would not use it.
I have stayed in far superior apartments in Mayfair for not more cost.

I think you must do some maintenance in the warming system in at least 2 bedrooms. They are not at the same high level of all the rest. May be the normal situation, but I was surprised when I check that we didn't have service room on Saturday. Talking about good things: We all have been very well supported. I think the apartment was very good in all respects.The one criticism that I would have is that although the apartment was clean and well equipped, it was very tired and old looking. It seriously needs to be redecorated and freshened up with new bathrooms, carpets and fittings. Staff were attentive and excellent on check in although could have done without the front door being rung at 08.30 in the morning by staff wanting to clean/service.

Excellent location, very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely apartment - may need kitchen and bathrooms upgraded slightly.
Bittersweet initial welcome but inevitable experience due to previous flat tenant's medical conditions.
Very classy management style adopted by Silvina, Peter and Gail to provide us with super comfortable option to fix the problem on-site. There was initial discomfort because, as me being a management consultant myself, i would prefer to take the risk of providing the clear picture of not providing the agreed-and-paid-for rented accommodation to the customer. Rather than, independently decide as a service company to provide customer 2 separate condos for 2 nights.
That is because, while booking, I had mentioned in my booking that I would be traveling with adults and young children under the age of 7, henceforth they are bound to require assistance at most times. So logistically it was difficult, and not only discomfort for all of us. Additionally, the in-house central radiators were no good. Another fireball thrown at me when i reached was, no prior information was provided to me or i was made aware of that i will be paying the full amount once i arrive at the site. Thanks to Silvina, she managed to co-operate and agree with me on the given solution. Thus, bittersweet experience.
On the whole, I would still recommend Shaw house apartments due to its value-for-money/sought after location for a group with kids or high-maintenance shopaholics (commercial-cum-residential) and flexible staff. The housekeeping staff were definitely cherry on top. Highly co-operative and helpful.
