Specific direction to the apartment needs to be highlighted as it is tucked away from the main road and if check in at night, difficult to locate since no one seems to know the building.
Also, apartment has no bathroom essentials (at least for the first night)other than towels. Kettle in the apartment cannot be used as there are sediments which cannot be removed and replacement was only made 5 days after arrival. Room was also not cleaned up after one week but more than a week. Manuals for TV and Washer come dryer should be provided. TV reception for satelite and normal channels are far from acceptable. Location of building next to a pub is not ideal as it can be very noisy.
The only advantage is the excellent proximity to public transport.

The apartment we were in was looking a little 'tired' and needed some remedial work - there was no rubber seal around the oven door, the key to the verandah door was missing and we had to chase for our linen change. However, notwithstanding these items, the location was absolutely fantastic and we would definitely stay here again.

Where to begin....Upon our arrival, I noted that we had 4 bath towels and 2 bath mats for the entire week. There were no hand towels or wash cloths. We had a washing machine but no dryer in our unit so washing the towels was a little pointless. In the master bathroom, the glass shower wall was not flush with the tub, so water went all over the floor after showering. Needless to say, we did not use the master bath for showering. We discovered that we had to pay for internet use, that was not a problem. The problem was that we were rarely able to USE the internet (the connection was very poor!) I called the maintenance number that was given in our "Welcome" binder on Sunday to request more towels and to ask that the shower wall be caulked or repaired. On Wednesday, additional towels were brought to our unit but no repairs were made to the shower wall. I phoned again on Monday regarding the internetand shower wall, no one called back until Friday (we were scheduled to leave on Saturday)to arrange fixing the ahower. Again, no mention of the internet problem. The location of the apartment was excellent, unfortunately, the customer service and the general maintenance of the apartment was very poor. I would never recommend this apartment to anyone.

It would be useful to provide also a tablecloth and, as the apartment is cleaned only once a week, also some stuff to allow guests to clean the apartment by themselves (first of all a soap for the dishes o for the dishwashig machine.
The information provided about the area (restaurants, shops, transportation services, etc) are quite poor.

Well laid out everything that was needed was in the apartment, really good location just one minute walk from Covent Garden.
Apartment was nice & clean with good decor, balcony was a bonus, view was of an office building but hey what do you expect in central London.
Only two very minor niggles no plug for the bath (obviously someone was desperate for one) & never saw the porter could of asked him for a plug if we had seen him.

There were 2-3 problems:
1) Keys: I had been told via e-mail I could get the keys at the reception on the ground floor. When we arrived at the apartment block, however, no one was on the ground floor and we could not entre the building. One of the residents there who happened to come home said there was no reception at the apartments. Ringing the emergency number (indicated on the welcome pack) finally solved the problem with the keys.
2) We could not find the internet connection service ('IS'?) as indicated in the welcome pack. So we used BT Fon.
3) We could not find a coffee maker in the kitchen, as indicated on the advertisement of the flat.
Except for these minor problems, however, the place was excellent in terms of comfort and location. I should also add that the instruction of the lady who answered the emergency call was a clear and kind one.
A good review but no recommnendation - odd I'm sure. Everything about the property was fabulous, other than the noise at night. While recognising it will not be necessarily quiet in such a central location, being over the Porterhouse Pub was problematic. Crashingly loud tipping of empty bottles into a skip multiple times per night was guaranteed to wake you with a start every time. Then staff using the lane under the apartment to smoke, talk, yell at each other and argue to the point I expected a fight to break out is too much. For well over an hour every night/early morning - screaming matches at 2am is simply unacceptable.
So we liked the property and the physical location, but would not stay there again due to the behaviour of the Porterhouse staff. On a positive note, we also found the citybase service very good and would definitely use citybase again.
Thanks
