Much better than a hotel room in central london as you get the comfort of a separate lounge. Short walk to underground so no probs getting around. Only negative comment is that the kitchen could not be more sparse in it's furnishings. I love to cook and cooking in that kitchen would test even the best chefs.

Very good location (minutes away from Pimlico Underground station), very good facilities and availability of a small grocerry store within the property made it really a comfortable and convenient stay.

We found the property clean and spacious, the facilities were great and the location convenient. They even provided milk for a cup of tea! We will recommmend to others and will stay again.

With that price Wi-Fi should be complimentary

Disappointed that the internet listing stated washer/dryer was included in the room, only to be told by Dolphin House reception that a washer/dryer was only available to rooms let for more than 3 months at a time. Otherwise, this was a very good find and I will be using them again!!

We had stayed at Dolphin House prior to 2008 renovations and believe it to have been better then. We were disappointed that the room contained not one scrap of paper work providing information about the property's facilities & services. The wall to wall wardrobes had been removed during the upgrade & replaced with a small cupboard not large enough for a doll's house which meant it was useless for storage of our clothing. The lighting was absolutely useless for the application of makeup and there was no facility for the provision of ice to the room.
We were asked at check-in if we wished to pay in Br pounds or Aust dollars ans specified Br pounds. Our credit card was swiped with Br pounds but on check-out we were charged in Aust dollars. Unfortunately we didn't pick up the discrepency until after leaving when it was too late. This change in payment arrangement cost us more that a hundred Aust dollars.
Only one day after check-in we cancelled the 2 day booking we had made for early Oct as we were so disappointed.

Great location near Pimlico underground. We had a deluxe one bedroom apartment and it was very clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend it for a mature couple that does not want to be in the middle of the hub bub of London but still close enough by cab or underground. Very enjoyable stay and very accommodating customer service representatives at reception.

Dolphin House apartments are within the prestigious Dolphin Square development, which is famed for its past and present residents. I'm told that at one time it was home to over 70 MPs and 10 Lords! For me, the location was perfect, just 5 minutes walk from Pimlico tube station (or 10 minutes to Victoria!). Pimlico itself offers loads of good restaurants and bars/pubs, etc, all on the doorstep. And the apartments themselves have a quality feel in terms of the fixtures and fittings. I've stayed in many serviced apartments in London, and Dolphin is probably my favourite - would recommend to anyone. And thanks to Citybase Apartments for getting me the best rate that I could find!

It was my first time in London and the people at the Dophin Square were marvelous. They helped us with every request we had, including printing off direction maps from Google maps for us. I am a seasoned traveller and I wuold highly recommend these accomations.

There were some minor things about the unit. The kitchen faucet was broken and the water sprayed all over when in use. The TV in the bedroom didn't work as it needed special equipment (an antenna). If it isn't going to work why not just take it out. There was a light out in the bedroom.
The staff were very cooperative and pleasant. The unit was kept clean and was very comfortable. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Only issue was on second night - residents up above my daughter and her partner were extremely noisy and kept them awake for a very long time.

Certainly I found the two apartments I have stayed in recently to be very comfortable and large – there were differences between them that appeared to be odd and I don’t know if these were deliberate or not.
My comments for the first apartment would be:
1. Insufficient electric sockets – only two in the bedroom both used by the TV and Digibox and none accessible near the bed (I use my mobile as my alarm and prefer to charge it overnight)
2. The electric lead on the digibox was too short to reach the socket so the chest of drawers it was on was at an angle across the corner of the room restricting access to one side of the bed
3. No toaster or anything other than a microwave and kettle - and the microwave, fridge and kettle were all hardwired into sockets so no available electric socket in the kitchen area
4. Provision of a pint of milk was unexpected but welcome (and from reading comments on the web I understand that this is usual)
5. A lack of crockery – sufficient for only two people whereas previously there has been sufficient for four people
6. Huge bathroom, good hot water, and all rooms very comfortable as a living space
7. TV channels not properly tuned in either the living room or bedroom
My comments on the second apartment would be:
1. No pint of milk – expectation increased by first apartment
2. More crockery but mismatched
3. Better kitchen functionality in terms of equipment
I didn’t manage to get to the use the facilities (leisure or dining) so can’t comment on those.

Generally clean and comfortable however there were one or two things which were broken; a loo roll holder off the wall, a broken chair leg on

Great apartment with all the facitlities we could want-- able to have a leisurely b'fast in the apartment before venturing out.
Leisure centre has been upgraded and now offers excellent facilities -- will definitely be back

Carpet was badly in need of a good cleaning; otherwise, the apartment was very clean. Also, there were a few times when it was very noisy, especially late at night. Otherwise, I had an excellent stay.

Lovely apparment, with beautiful bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen. Very high standard. Great location in the quiet area of Pimlico.
The windows are old so they were a noisy when the wind was blowing.
Alos, be careful not to park in front of the hotel when checking in cause you may have to pay for a very expensive parking ticket!!!
Other than this unfortunate event, we had a lovely stay.

Very poor value for money Apartment hadn't been properly checked before our arrival, crockery/equipment missing/broken.
Some of the staff tried to sort us out, but if had been done properly in first place would have saved lot of hassle. Expectations high, & paid a lot, so very disappointed. Only there short time Spent a lot of it chasing things up. Good location. Such a shame. Never again.

My husband and I stayed for the first time at Dolphin House in June, 2010. Our one-bedroom apartment was roomy by London standards and probably priced lower than average since there was no scenic view. We had positive reactions to:
* Friendliness of all staff members
* Cleanliness of building and apartment
* Nearby transportation (Victoria line stop and three bus routes)
* Restaurant on premises (others within several blocks)
* Grocery stores nearby (supermarket about ten blocks away)
However, there were several negative situations that inconvenienced us:
* Housekeeping staff continued to make errors even after several conversations, e.g.,
* Did not replace dirty towels that were removed (on one third of our stay)
* Left the fluorescent lights on in the internal kitchen which turned the room into a sauna after several hours
* Kitchen had insufficient supplies for two people (only two place settings of dishes and flatware)
* The door to the internal kitchen was very difficult to open and would not stay open by itself (perhaps die to fire regulations) - a problem for people without a lot of energy
* Inadequate lighting for business paperwork
* Inadequate communication between/within Reception, Housekeeping, and residents - e.g., no feedback from staff members to residents if staff offered to follow up on a question from residents

We could not fault our apartment. All facilities were good. The proximity of Dolphin Square to Central London by tube or bus was a feature meeting all our requirements.Your staff are competent and friendly,we throughly enjoyed our stay.

Clean, spacious, quiet. What more could we want?
Paul Linton, Business traveller - Posted: Mon 21st Dec 2009
Internet access needs addressing - I couldn't get that to work, even with help (eventually) from the staff. Response time to queries could be better, as could the internal telephone system which seems to operate using a random number generator. Other than tose minor gripes, an excellent place and I will stay there again.

The apartment was good. Slight leak in shower needed floor mopping after shower. No Milk in Fridge and slightly late entry (15mins). but apart from these small inconveniences still very impressed with the facilities
