Despite reporting a problem with our TV on Friday morning and being told somebody would be coming to fix it shortly it was not fixed until Monday afternoon. We also requested a highchair at the same time which we were told would be with us shortly. This was never delivered.
The bathroom was in need of some updating.
The level of English of some of the reception staff was also poor. One of them didn't even understand the term check-in.
Katherine Miller, Family with young children - Posted: Tue 10th Apr 2012
Apartment was UNCLEAN. Very dirty shower, very smelly. Did not include simple things like dishwashing detergent, stuff for dishwasher, tea/coffee facilities.

Excellent accommodation in a very convenient location.

Nice apartment, spacious and comfortable - but the noise from District Line trains only a few yards away was unexpected. Service was friendly though a bit disorganised (when we pointed out there were no forks, they told us 'It might be tomorrow before we can get you some' - so we went out and bought some instead.)

I would not hesitate to stay here again; I really enjoyed the apartment. A couple suggestions: Put some dishwasher powder and some clothes washing powder in the unit and leave the instructions to the washer/dryer sommewhere convenient, preferably in the book. Thanks again!

We were very pleased with the apartment, it was spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.
Something that would be really useful is a place to leave cases on the last day. Most people want to make the most of their stay in London and do not travel home until long after 10 am. I know there is a security issue but all hotels manage to do it and it would make the stay perfect.

We were dissapointed with the bathroom- because the towels were few and dirty and there was no extra toilet paper! Also no dishwashing liquid and no towels in the kitchen. We stayed there for just 3 days noone could expect that we had to go buy all that staff.!
Annali Weekes, Solo traveller - Posted: Mon 28th Nov 2011
Very quiet block of units condering how many units there are; the block is in-between 2 train lines, however the building does block this noise to a minimum. Walking distance to one station with 3 underground lines access. Clean unit, with comfort. The site manangers were helpful, however did remind they were there for security only.
Jason Whitelaw, Young couple - Posted: Mon 14th Nov 2011
Apartment had a low standard finish through out with various broken fixings, not properly cleaned and a smelly fridge. In desperate need of a revamp and nothing like the photos on the website. Very limited hot water for showers regardless of the time of day. Staff at fronk desk neither friendly or helpful. I wont be visitting again.

Excellent location and very roomy apartment.
Kitchen requires some attention, poorly equiped with utensils and crockery tired and chipped. Thermostat on cooker seemed to be faulty and set on max.
Very handy with Sainsbury's under the building and many other shops and restuarants around.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Point West. The apartment was clean, spacious and very easy to live in. With a small child, it made our trip to London manageable, and was vastly superior to staying in a hotel or similar accommodations. Highly recommend the property.
Lucy Holliday, Family with young children - Posted: Tue 1st Nov 2011
A generous sized two bedroom apartment, which was clean and tidy on arrival, and had a well furnished kitchen. It would have been nice if there had been a few basics available, such as tea bags, coffee and milk capsules. The location was very convenient for the tube station, Hyde Park and the South Ken museums. One downside is that there is nowhere safe to leave luggage if you arrive before 2pm, and you need to be out of your room by 10am the day of departure. But not a bad place to stay, and our kids loved it!

An excellent clean and tidy apartment that fully met our needs. WE were able to entertain, store our stuff and, importantly, park the car for the duration of our stay. One suggestion would be to provide some wine glasses - we ended up drinking a decent Argentinean Malbec from half pint beer glasses!

The apartments are well situated for tourists visiting the sights in London and an easy walk from Glouster Rd tube. The undergrounds proximity does however mean train noise early in the morning and late at night. Not so much of a problem if you don't need to open the window. The two local supermarkets literally on the doorstep are also very handy for those who wish to self cater.
The apartment was clean but the bathroom was showing signs of wear with the bath panel coming off and a bath drain that was partially blocked - really simple housekeeping issues. The kitchen is very small but adequate although as other reviewers have noted there were not 4 glasses of any one type other than wine glasses and the crockery is mismatched although sufficient. No supply of washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, table salt, the lack of decent oven gloves and a scant supply of toilet tissue(all commented upon previously by other reviewers) are a nuisance. At the price for the apartment I think these little things make all the difference and are inexpensive to provide. Twin beds were provided as requested which is helpful for older children. Attention to detail would make these apartments more than just a reasonable location to stay in.

Overall a great, good-value room, but missing essential items which make staying in an apartment immediately accessible; a basic set of cleaning products, dishwasher tablets (even one?) coffee/tea/milk, salt/pepper, just to get started up.
Also a set of instructions for the room facilities would be useful and could save damage.

Really good price for this size of property considering similar alternatives. Great space, we even had an outside patio area. Well equipped kitchen. Only minor problems such as slightly worn fittings in places.
Otto Postma, Mature couple - Posted: Sun 11th Sep 2011
Nice apartment, but amenities were a bit on the frugal side: while a washing machine was present, a dryer was not; cheap toilet paper; no sponge to wipe kitchen top. The lock and/or keys may need to be changed as it took quite some effort to open the door (wear & tear presumably).
Wendy from Port Macquarie, Solo traveller - Posted: Tue 6th Sep 2011
Apartment in great location with everything you need. Extremely spacious and light. Only negatives were that carpet needs a good clean or replacement and internet was not wireless. Otherwise, felt very comfortable for the stay.
Sian Kerr, Family with young children - Posted: Wed 24th Aug 2011
This apartment was fine for us as our children were happy to share a double bed. The kitchen would have benefited from a check on what was available (only 1 glass other than wine glasses). It was a shame that no cloth or washing up liquid was provided but there were dishwasher tablets.
Comfortable living space, aircon units and a balcony added to the enjoyment of our stay.

The apartment is very nice. The living and kitchen are nice, spacious, well laid out and comfortable. The master bedroom is also very nice with a large built-in cupboard. The second bedroom is the same size but more basic in terms of furniture. The bed in the master bedroom is better than in the second bedroom.
Location is great
Some small points for improvement: we found that not all cooking utensils and glassware were fully clean. This is not a huge issue but can give the impression of untidyness. Furthermore, we ran out of toiletpaper - it would be great if you could just keep some extra rolls in storage somewhere.
Cheers.

The apartment was bright airy and warm. The reception staff were very friendly and accommodating . The location was excellent. Just 2 little problems . I do not think the dishwasher worked very well as cups etc were not very clean and also some good reading lights by the bed would be useful. I would definitely recommend this place and I would use it again.
David Miller, Mature couple - Posted: Wed 17th Nov 2010
The space of the apartment was excellent and so much better value than a hotel. Also more private. Location excellent. Bed very comfy. Overall very happy but several minor criticisms - although more irritating than anything let things down a bit. These were:
1. Bathrooms - no plugs in either bathroom sink
2. Kitchen - No oven gloves or teatowels - made removing items from oven very hard. Also no shelves in oven and just one baking tray - if you are going to offer a kitchen at least equip it properly. Finally of 3 pans in kitchen one was filthy
3. Living Room - no remote for DVD - was this right
Annie from Murrumbeena, Family with young children - Posted: Sat 13th Nov 2010
The manager was quick to act when there was a misunderstanding regarding a fold-away bed.
Location is excellent.
The kitchen was well equipped however the washing machine was faulty - the door would not fully close.
The cleanliness of the toilet left a little to be desired - a quick dash to sainsbury's to purchase bleach and a new toilet brush was deemed very necessary!
That said, we would stay there again.
Wendy from Lenzie, With friends - Posted: Mon 8th Nov 2010
Some glasses/crockery rather old/chipped and mismatched. Otherwise kitchen and apartment in general well equipped.
Well situated for Underground and museums.
Concierge on Sunday very helpful, others less so.

Roomy apartment, great staff.
Mrs Heather-Jane Hold, Family with older children - Posted: Mon 18th Oct 2010
The design of the building is complicated and so a small map showing the layout of the floors and access to them would prevent party members from getting lost and frustrated.
The kitchen equipment is very poor. No complete sets of anything and those which were provided were a mismatch of sizes, uses and many were chipped. A Teatowel was provided but no dish or cleaning cloths. Pans with worn off non stick coating were hard to use.
The pale carpet which is always going to be hard to keep clean was badly marked an it appeared that no attempt had been made to remove them.
In view of the above I do feel that the apartment is overpriced and I didn't feel that it wasn't as high class as is portrayed in your advertising.
Regards
Heather-Jane Hold

Terrible 2nd floor apartment for sleeping. Beds, very basic, awful noise from nearby tube / train tracks - almost moved out to a hotel, but stayed the course. Furnishings very spartan, sofa stuffing coming out; kitchen needs redecorating. Not even any decent hangers in the wardrobes.

We have just spent 5 nights at these apartments. Clean and comfortable and the location was great. Two minutes to Gloucester Road tube and about 10 minutes to Kensington. we had no problems in the apartment so had no need to contact housekeeping at any time. Entrance to apartments secure. We were on the third floor and could hear the tube trains from time to time but not loud enough to bother us and we couldn't here any traffic from the busy Cromwell Road. Two supermarkets a couple of minutes in each direction. Lots of restaurants in surounding area. Would recommend this accomodation to anyone. Only one problem is that the apartments can't be seen from the road so were difficult to find. Could do with a signpost on the main road.

WE felt that we did not receive sufficient information about the flat when we arrived. We are not familiar with British appliances and more instructions would have been helpful. Those that were there should have been left out to be clearly visible.
We found the lighting in the sitting room inadequate for reading in the evening. We could not use all the channels on the tv because the controller would not work. We were surprised at the lack of a tea pot, but were grateful for the quick response to our request for one.
Olga from Alcal de Henares, Family with young children - Posted: Tue 27th Jul 2010
The apartment was nice and confortable, however, it would need to offer some more cutlery and kitchen menage in general. I'd also reccomend avoiding carpets in living-rooms which tend to be dirty after a variety of people have their meals there.

A bit more attention to detail would make this apartment perfect. For example, each door handle fell off when opening and shutting doors. Also, the building is huge and it took me at least 45 frustrating minutes to find my suite. If anyone is staying in an apartment in my area (218), they should be guided to the apartment when checking in. The hot water in my apartment was on a timer. This feature should be turned off for short term guests. It should also be made clear that one needs to bring toileteries and toilet paper, as well as kitchen paper.
Danielle, Young couple - Posted: Thu 24th Jun 2010
Too many cushions, vases and not enough hooks and hangers for clothes.
Bathroom sink has no drainer ie a big deep hole down.
Unable to use One table lamp with a one-metre length cable but nearest wall socket is 2 metres away.
Waste disposal room outside lift does not smell good.
Overall still good.

The apartment was clean tidy and a great location.Dorothy the house keeper was also at hand if needed and kept the place spotless.
1)Some if the minor things such as light switches etc need to be repaired.
2)Found the door lock difficult at times.
3) Would suggest that the paid tv be connected properly, it just didn't work (we had an older lady with us)
4) Availability of high speed broadband internet would be an advantage
Otherwisw we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others

The apartment bedroom was very cramped.
The shower/bath surface very slippery to the point of dangerous.
The kitchen hot water tap needs fixing. It squirts everywhere.
The corridor had a foul odour.
The dishwasher had not been unstacked when we arrived.
The location is very good.
The apartment was clean and fixtures and appliances modern.

Nice apartment in good location. Nicely furnished, clean and obvioulsy welll maintained. Helpful and timely staff.
Only downsides were terrible, cheap and uncomfortable pillows and a poor selection of crockery, glasses and utensils in the kitchen.
A small selection of key items such as salt and pepper wuold be nice too.
All in all very good though, I would use these apartments again.

Range of facilities: hot water was insufficient for 2 people in the middle of winter, dishwasher was not used due to difficulty. Need clear instructions left out for all appliances. Apartments need a guest book.
Only thing we didn't like was the long corridors and having to take 2 elevators to get to the 5th floor. No view from the room was disappointing but not too much of a concern.
Location: Brilliant - as per website.
Customer Service: Friendly and helpful.
Cleanliness: Staff were efficient in keeping the apartment up to standard. We understand the difficulties here over the Christmas/New Year holiday.
Value for Money: Good - as per website.
We had a great time and would recommend the facility to our travelling friends.

Overall the apartment was excellent in location, and very good in quality of fittings. The noise from the trains below was minimal enough not to bother us. We asked for an extra bed and though it wasn't there on arrival, the service was good once we repeated our request. The only area in which I felt the generally high standard was let down was the kitchen.
