Really great area, everyone enjoyed their stay
Family room - only pain was that the bedroom was downstairs and that was the only toilet facility in the apartment and there were 6 of us.
Great value for money
Hair in bathroom but other than that it was clean.

We were 6 sisters celebrating a 50th birthday, everthing about the Grand Plaza Apts was just excellent and have recommended to friends if they choose to visit London, and when we do return to London I would have no problem staying there again
We had a wonderful break

Customer service was non-existent from those at reception. Apartment was difficult to find through a maze of corridors and with no map of the building on offer. Luckily, the cleaners were helpful. The lift only goes as far as the fourth floor, so bags had to be hauled up a steep flight of stairs. Apartment was stuffy, bedroom was tiny and kitchen/living area, whilst clean, was not pleasant for sitting/relaxing. Very unsatisfactory.

We had a very good stay. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Location is awesome - centrally located to everything and very close to 2 tube stations. We stayed in a one bedroom executive suite with a 15 mth old and 3 yr old - though the space was tight for kids - it was very comfortable. Definitely recommend it and will go back again!

Really enjoyed it. Even though there had been a disaster with the flood, we never would have realised and the staff were friendly and courteous throughout.

i found the apartment was located in an excellent position and within easy walking distance to the tube. the supermarket was conveniently within walking distance. the apartment was a bit on the small side but comfortable enough for our stay. i liked that they had 2 bathrooms it meant no line ups in the mornings!!! it wasnt brand new but the facilities it had made our stay comfortable.
A dryer and washer would have made the apartment complete.

There is one thing i noticed. The appartment wasn`t cleaned on the top of the wardrobe, and in the sofa, and the shower was leacing when showering, lots of water on the floor.
But, when that`s said. A fantastic holliday whith my daugther( 10 ). A great appartment, lots of place, easy to find and yes, we want to come back. Thank`s for now.

As a group of 6 friends we were somewhat disappointed at the size of the downstairs living space.
For a 3 bed appartment we had anticipated that the seating provided would reflect the size of the party and a three seater sofa is simply not adequate.
Aizan from Subang Jaya, Family with older children - Posted: Mon 14th Feb 2011
The mixed up in the room type allocation upon arrival was handled professionally. The family room given to us was appropriate however the dining chairs need to be refurbished since there were stains on all the chair cushions.I think some of the kitchen utensils were missing.
The assistance provided such as taxi booking, car parking advices etc were very good.
Will definitely stay here again & recommend to our friends.
Deborah from Canberra, Family with older children - Posted: Thu 20th Jan 2011
Apartment was much smaller than it looks on the internet. Obviously wide angle lens was used. We were a family of 5 and we could barely fit out luggage in the bedrooms. The building was a rabbit warren will extremely narrow corridors and unsuitable slow lifts.
Karen from Sleaford, With friends - Posted: Wed 24th Nov 2010
The accommodation allocated to us was not what I had originally booked. After discussing this with reception they agreed to allow us to move to accommodation which met the original booking.
Elaine Jordan, Young couple - Posted: Tue 16th Nov 2010
We were lucky enough to be upgraded and were very pleased with our room. Rather than just a hotel room we had a small kitchen too which was great. Our only complaints were that our sofa had been made up in to a second bed which was a shame as it a bit in the way and unusable as a sofa. Also our TV had been set up to alarm at 6:30am in the morning. The hotel should add this to a check list? We weren't best impressed at losing our lie in due to this. Overall though, very good value for money, clean and much better than a bog standard hotel room. Would be great for a business user or longer staying guest who doesn't want to eat out all the time.

Stayed in one bedroom studio for 3 persons. Sofa Bed was very small and uncomfortable. Apartment was small but clean and stocked with all the accessories you would expect. Foyer and general areas were clean. Location was excellent. 2 mins walk from 2 tube stations and plenty of restaurants around the corner. All in all it was clean and functional but I reckon I would get cabin fever if staying there for more than a couple of days.

We thought the appartments were a bit on the tatty side, with lots of scuffed paintwork and mould o the bathroom tiles. These were definitely not as nice as previous appartments we have used.

Would recommend. The one bedroom ground floor apartment was good accommodation for us, a couple travelling with an infant. Clean and comfortable and great location for parks, tube, shopping and sights. Also happy with the cot provided.

I have used Grand Plaza 3 times now and plan on using them again this year, the staff are really friendly, always there to answer questions which is good seeing as they are always busy.
the apartment is clean and welcoming the shower is really powerfull altogether pretty cosy and comfortable the only tiny things, The top of the curtains are really dusty (hard to fet up and clean though) generally always a good stay the reception staff really make it

Really enjoyed our stay here, staff were extremely helpful. The only down side was that the apartments were looking very tired and could do with a lick of paint and a deep clean. We were upgraded to a 3 bed from a 2 bed, the bedrooms and bathrooms were excellent, however the lounge/kitchen was very small for a family of 4. But having said all of that we would definately go back.

The one bedroom apartment was on two levels with bedroom and small bathroom downstairs, two bed settees on the main level living area - the whole apartment was cramped but just adequate for 5 people. Main issue we had was that in the July London "heatwave" the apartnment was very stuffy and the 2 x pedestal fans supplied did little to help. Checking in early or out early wasn't possible given the high occupancy but the hotel and staff were well used to accepting and storing large amounts of luggage outside of times when your room is available. Apartments are well located for transport and places to eat nearby, and were clean and well appointed - pretty good value for money.

These apartments are brilliantly situated to the Queensway shopping area and very close to Bayswater and Queensway tubes.Make sure you have sufficient books to read for yur stay as there is no bookshop nearby. There are heaps of restaurants.Only disadvantage is often a long walk to unit.Free laundry but difficult to get onto it a several out of action or in use and long way down to basement.
Staff very friendly and helpful. We dealt with Tigone and she procured excellent theatre seats for us at last minute.
This is our second stay but with new owners. Place now needs a bit of attention but they are too busy to renovate at the moment.Breakfast room very tightly packed with tables and chairs and could do with removing a couple as hard to negotiate through them on occasions.
Would recommend replacing washing machines and driers for
some where you put money in , push a button and they start
with no complicated instructions.A lot of guests who had little english wouldn't have had a clue.

The double room was incredibly small - barely enough room to walk around each side of the bed. We had asked for the double bed to be made into twin beds, but there just was no room to pull the two parts apart!!!!! Also the room was stiflingly hot, with only a fan for comfort which was noisy and kept us awake. Breakfast was supposed to be served till 11 a.m. but at 10.30 on the Saturday, there was hardly any food left and the staff were cleaning up and not interested in providing more - infact were decidely rude. The same could be said that morning of a member of staff at the reception desk when advised of the bad experience in the breakfast room. However, on check-out Monday morning, the staff at reception could not have been more friendly and apologetic for the experience in the breakfast room and at reception the previous morning, and did not charge for the sparce breakfast available on the Sunday morning.

We recently stayed as a part of a hen weekend- and had a wonderful time. The apartment was a good size and overall smart and clean, however the living area was a small compared to the generous bedrooms rooms. Biggest disappointment was the lack of ice compartment in the fridge and no ice making facilities in the building. The service and location more than made up for that though! Staff were lovely and accommodating and the location was ideal for getting around.

This is the second time I have used these apartments its great to have the freedom of the apartment but the facilities of a hotel, It is always clean and the reception staff are really helpful (especially as they are so busy)it is nice and close to restaurants and the tube so really convenient but in a nice quiet street (though our saturday night was a little noisy)

Thank you so much for making it all so easy! We had a fantastic time. We stayed in 3 apartments of different sizes to accomodate 12 girls on a hen night and it was perfect. Very clean and tidy, spacious and comfortable. I would definitely think about staying here again for trips to London whether it is just me and my boyfriend or a whole group of people, it was great!

Asked about VAT refund and woman at desk gave a printout but only realised at airport that it wasn't a refund form. If refunds are not policy, she could have mentioned it. BTW, it shouldn't cost the hotel much to make this a possibility for future guests. Otherwise, an excellent stay.

We had booked a one bedroom studio and a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment, specifying twin beds in the studio and at least one room with twin beds in the 2 bedroom. My friends also booked the studio for an extra night so that they could justarrive after an early morning long distance flight frrom australia. They confirmed this reqiest the day before flying but on arrival they had been listed as "no show" and deleted from the system. They were then given a double bedroom studio, and the offer of a twin bed one later that day, which was produced.
Likewise, I checked by email that the 2 bedroom one had what we wanted, but found a double in each bedroom. consequently were offered a 2 bedroom, one bathroom apartment till the next day, when we could move into one that became available later that day.
Both these gave a disappointing experience after arrival from a 23 hour flight. After remedying both rooms by the following morning, the facilities were clean.

David Pinning, Group - Posted: Sun 8th Nov 2009
The public areas of the hotel were fine, although access to the room was a little lengthly. Our apartment was designed to accommodate six persons and for sleeping this was no problem. For food preperation (even just a simple breakfast), eating meals and general sitting it was far too small. The table was tiny and had only four (wonky) chairs and there was ONE two-seater sofa. Overall I would avoid these apartments again unless I could view the accommodation beforehand to check its suitablilty.
