The Spires had just a few days before moved to this new location, so disorganization was apparent. Opportunities for improvement: better lighting in kitchen and bathrooms; more electrical outlets; a handbook for each apartment (especially for foreign visitors) indicating contact numbers, local emergency contacts, how to use the hot water (showers), maps, how to use the combination washer/dryer (the staff did not know either - I was eventually given the manual); free wi-fi internet; face cloths (washcloths); only one key for 5 people(others still being made); instructions for intercom. Kudos: the staff was very attentive, especially considering they were still moving in. Location was excellent. Rooms brand new, sparce, modern. Full kitchen (but poor lighting).

bang right in the heart of Glasgow. I live in England and came up to get my sons measured for their kilts.

the apartment was very clean and tidy, the facilitites were very good.
the downside was that the sofabed was very uncomfortable to sleep on, there were only 4 chairs for the table, 6 of us stayed and there was only seating for 4 people in the lounge.

The situation of the apartment is a great base for City Centre Glasgow, it's exceptionally clean and has great facilities. My only complaint was the difficulty of gaining entry to the building after the reception service has closed for the day, there is no fob to enter from the street and a code is given for the back door to the building for very late entry in the small hours. I would definitely book again, but the entry issue really needs to be addressed.

Reception staff were excellent - extremely helpful - put me in touch with NHS when i needed it - provided city information.
one small glitsch (of no real concern) was not having access to a safe which the previous occupant had locked and not reset - was not fixed during my stay
Excellent value for money, great location

Everything was perfect apart from while staying there we were planning on going out to a club. All of us couldn't because we had no way of getting back into the building like a code of somesort? And as it is not a 24 hour reception could have potensially locked out the apartment all night. Also on the Sunday there is nobody that works there so we were rather confused as to where to hand in our key? No reception. So just left it in our room. 2 workers from Visit Scotland were with us and there words - definatly not 4 star.
