The apartments are located in the New Town area, in the centre of the city, within easy reach of a wide range of shops, restaurants and bars. Having booked Broughton Place 2 (72 Broughton Street) we were actually allocated Broughton Place 3 (28 Barony Street), whether this was better or worse we'll never know.
Apartment is basically an individual flat in a large building - others appeared to be owned or rented permanently. Entrance and hallway was very run down with poor lighting and decoration and bikes chained up etc. Apartment was a good size (bedrooms and living room in particular), but we had several problems e.g. no heating on and instructions not clear and television (satellite/cable box) did not work and was not fixed during our stay despite someone saying they would come out.
On the positive side, close to Broughton Street with range of shops, delis etc, good location - train station and Playhouse walking distance - and reasonable price.
Overall, would probably take my chances elsewhere next time!
