At Citybase Apartments we understand that submitting your payment details online involves a great deal of trust on your part. We want to assure you that we take our security responsibilities very seriously, and make the confidentiality of your data our highest priority.
How do I know if a website is secure?
When you are asked to enter your credit card details on a secure booking form, you will see a small padlock icon appear at the bottom of your browser window or in your address bar which looks like this:
Also, you will notice that on secure booking forms, the address line changes slightly to reflect that the page is hosted on a secure server. The normal 'http:' at the beginning of the URL becomes 'https:', where the 's' indicates a secure connection.
How safe is Citybase Apartments?
We guarantee the safety of your credit card details. All our booking forms are hosted on a secure server using 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption technology, the most advanced security software currently available for online transactions. This means:- When you enter the booking page, your browser will display the padlock icon (see above) to show its authentication. This assures your browser that your data is being sent to the correct computer server, and that the server is actually secure.
- When you submit your credit card details the information is encrypted (scrambled) so that it can only be read by the secure server.
