Location
The San Polo area of Venice offers a range of attractions including the Rialto Bridge and market, a number of historic churches, and the Campo San Polo, the second largest square in Venice and a popular Carnival venue. Nearby stands the Basilica di Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, usually simply called the Frari, one of Venice's greatest churches.
Travel
Venice can be reached by road, and cars parked at the entrance to the city in Europe's largest car park. The Venezia-Santa Lucia train station is just a short walk from the apartments. The nearest airport is Marco Polo International Airport on the mainland, with regular waterbuses to the city.
Transportation around Venice is entirely by water or foot. The famous gondolas are mostly used by tourists, with locals preferring to use motorised waterbuses called "vaporetti".
