Location

The Giardini Apartments are located in a quieter area of the city but still within easy reach of many of the main sights and attractions. Just minutes away are the hidden church of San Francesco della Vigna, the Venetian Arsenal, the Bridge of Sighs, Doge's Palace and La Fenice opera house. Other attractions nearby include St Mark's Square and Basilica, the Rialto Bridge and Santa Maria della Salute.

Travel

Venice can be reached by road, and cars parked at the entrance to the city in Europe's largest car park. The Venezia-Santa Lucia train station is approximately twenty minutes' walk from the apartments. The nearest airport is Marco Polo International Airport on the mainland, with regular waterbuses to the city.

Transportation around Venice is entirely by water or foot. The famous gondolas are mostly used by tourists, with locals preferring to use motorised waterbuses called "vaporetti".
