The San Bortolomio Apartments are located just minutes from the Grand Canal and the famous Rialto Bridge. Next to the apartments is the Campo San Bortolo, the famous square that sits between St Mark's Square and the Rialto Bridge and is home to quaint cafés playing live music. Other popular sights and attractions such as the Bridge of Sighs, Palazzo Ducale and the Frari Church are within easy reach of the apartments.
Travel
Venice can be reached by road, and cars parked at the entrance to the city in Europe's largest car park. The Venezia-Santa Lucia train station is within easy reach of the apartments, approximately 40 minutes away by foot. The nearest airport is Marco Polo International Airport on the mainland, with regular waterbuses to the city.
Transportation around Venice is entirely by water or foot. The famous gondolas are mostly used by tourists, with locals preferring to use motorised waterbuses called "vaporetti".
