Location

As France's oldest city there is much to see and do here. The apartments are located in a central area and within easy reach of the main attractions. Visit the Parc Chanot, Notre Dame de la Garde - which offers one of the best views of the city - or the trendy Le Cours Julien and La Plaine areas. For sport fans the Stade Vélodrome, home to Olympique de Marseille, is close to the apartments. Indulge in some shopping or admire the old port by taking a stroll down La Canebière. Other sights include the Palais Longchamp and Boulevard Longchamp, La Place Castellane and the countless beaches all accessible from the apartments on foot or by public transport.

Travel

Marseille benefits from a good transport system consisting of trams, buses and subways. Tickets can be bought at stations, on buses or even in cafés. Be careful as the subway closes at 9pm on week nights and 12.30am on weekends. Bus service do operate at night however. A ferry service operates across the harbour and is a popular and interesting way to travel.

Marseilles Provence International Airport is approximately 30km from the city centre. Shuttle buses run between the airport and the city centre.

The main train station is Marseille St Charles which provides TGV lines to Paris, Nice, Brussels and other major cities.

Long distance bus routes also operate between Marseille and Western and Central Europe.
