There is much to see and do in the UNESCO World Heritage site of Bordeaux. The apartments are located opposite the famous Esplanade Charles de Gaulle which is a good starting point for for exploring the narrow streets of Bordeaux. The River Garonne is nearby as is St Andrew's Cathedral. Visit the stunning Place de la Bourse or the Place des Quinconces which is the second largest city square in Europe. Be sure to sample some of the famous wine in the many restaurants and bars on offer or alternatively partake in a wine tour of the famous areas.
Most attractions are in the city centre in a zoned pedestrian area making travelling on foot the easiest option. An efficient and modern tram system operates over the city providing access to the main tourist spots. Buses and ferry boats are also a reliable option. Travelling around Bordeaux isn't advisable as the streets are old, narrow and often congested.
Bordeaux Airport or Mérignac Airport as it also referred is just 10km from the city centre. The airport handles international flights mainly from the UK and Spain.
Bordeaux is one of the main rail transit points in France with around 12 to 15 TGV trains arriving daily from Paris alone. Trains also arrive from Bayonne, Nantes, Poitiers, La Rochelle and Toulouse.
Check in is from 15:00 and check out is before 11:00
